F1rst A1d is what humans would call "a young man with an old brain". He studied under ratchet before the Cybertronian wars and discovered he had an inate skill for recovering the databanks of seriously damaged transformers. during the Cyberton wars he would repair Autobot and Decepticon alike if they came to his workshop, and refused to pick a side as fighting was the antithesis of his programming. He finally enlisted with the Autobots when he discovered his mentor along with several of his freinds had been irrevocably damged by Megatron during a routine flight to retrieve energon cubes from earth.
He flew to Earth with Prime and the Dinobots (who he still considers dumb as a blown fuse but useful nonetheless) along with other Autobots to take back Autobot city. During the battle he sustained energon blast damage to his gyroscopic circuitry, whilst in the midst of a repair, that rendered him immobile He remained hidden among the wreckage of the city until his comrades returned and discovered he still functioned. He assisted with the repair and maintenance of the city and its inhabitants and still does.
(1st attempt ever at this did I do it right??! Any help from a veteran would be great!)
